Hello, Unfortunately it's not possible to transform a SIMATIC IOT2040 into a Mindconnect IOT. To connect a SIMATIC IOT2040 to Mindsphere you would have to use the MindConnect Lib. An application example for the usage of this library on the IOT is coming out soon! Another thing that comes to my mind is using the MQTT Publisher on the S7-1200 in combination with the IoT Extension Upgrade for Mindsphere. Kind regards! |

Hello! You need a special IoT2040 version - MindConnect IoT2040 - with ord. number 9AC2112-0AA00-1YA2 |

Hello NISARG, As far as I'm concerned, the S7-1200 does not have an OPC UA Server. So the best way would be to establish an S7 connection. Since the MindConnect Lib is C/C++ based, it makes more sense to stick to C++ and use the snap7 library. You could implement an application that runs continuously, collects data from an S7-1200 and sends it directly to MindSphere. So no temp file needed... The use case with MQTT Publisher and IoT Extension Upgrade would be a different approach without the IOT2040. But it's just an idea. Maybe the MindSphere technical support can confirm the feasibility of this concept. Kind regards! |
