S7-400H CPU not going in Run Mode

Niranjan Prasad Posts: 691 Rating: (37)	Hi Everyone I got problem while testing the S7-400 H CPU Panel. The Problem is ; its not going to RUN Mode. Whenever switch it to RUN Mode , The RUN LED blinks for few seconds and then goes OFF. Also the IMs connected to these are not showing ACT (active) Attachment 400H_PROBLEM.JPG (855 Downloads)

abproj Posts: 58 Rating: (1)	Hi Niranjan, It seems to be a hardware problem. Have you set up the 2 racks as rack 1 and 2? (Switch at the back of the CPU)

Maha Posts: 118 Rating: (4)	Hi All, We used to face this problem while configuring first time the system.Solved by following way...... 1.Delete the System File. 2.Compile Hardware Configuration. 3.Turnthe CPU Switch to Stop Mode. 4.Down load to individual (Both) CPU by MPI/Ethernet. 5.Turn the Switch to Run Mode. If it is not solved, plspost the screenshot of Diagnostic Buffer.

Maha Posts: 118 Rating: (4)	Hi, 1.Have u done the above steps mentioned (Delete system file and compile again)and downloded the HW configuration to each cpu. 2.While downloading have u received any warning popup mentioned like infollowing link /tf/WW/en/Posts/12651 because the diagnostic buffer fault is look like same above link. 3.Is it your Interface Submodule having any difference with the actual configured one.

But for that I had to replace the CP I was using CP 6GK7 443-1EX20-0XE0 with CPU 6ES7 414-4HM14-0AB0 and downloaded the configuration. In that case the CPU was going to Stop mode only. Then I replaced the CP 6GK7 443-1EX20-0XE0 with CP 6GK7 443-1EX11-0XE0 , this it was going to RUN mode I just want to know why my earlier configuration was not running ???????

It look like there are differences between the older and newer firmware of old cp I think it is a must to go to the newer CP card becauce the ---1ex11-- is going out. Yer

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, this sounds more than strange to me. Actually the new CP should work with this CPU without any problem. As a solution for this situation at the moment I would recommend to configure a CP 443-1 EX11 with V 2.6 in the HW Config and plug the CP 443-1 EX20 into the system. As the CP is compatible with this version it should run, but without the new functions... but these are not released for the S7-400 H System anyway. Best regards J_Bell
