Simatic Net Problem with S7-200 via CP 243-1 after I installed a new version for STARTER

Cristodul Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I have the same problem as published within this thread: Simatic Net Problem with S7-200 via CP 243-1. Everything worked fine until I installed a new version for STARTER. Now, I'm configuring the Ethernet module, is running, when I ping the address is responding but when I change the PC interface from PPI to Ethernet, S7 is seeing the address as unknown and I can't make it work. Where can I find the tools to diagnose??? Please advise! Thank you! C

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello C, have you already tried to reinstall Micro Win? I think that maybe STARTER change some Settings for your PG driver. It might be fixed after a reinstallation. Best regards J_Bell

Cristodul Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hello, Thank's for the tip... i reinstalled Step 7. I have the Ethernet card working, but now I run in to other problems. When I run Starter I can't make the connection with the vfd . C

You may request details about such a configuration at the Customer Support... I would appreciate if you could post more details if you get these. Best regards J_Bell

Cristodul Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi all I have a 224XP CPU and a CP 243-1 Ethernet card connected on TCP/IP. Thru one of the communicationports of the PLC I’m trying to connect with a 420Micromaster VFDon RS485. I hadtoinstall Starter in orderto configure the VFD. After installing Starter I got on line with the VFD thru PCCOM Port (USS) but my Ethernet connection died. I reinstalled Step 7 and got my Ethernet connection but when I try to set the PG/PC interface to Pc Com port USS I can't get back on line with the VFD. This morning I came to work and I tried again to connect and I'm online. I don't know how or what whas the problem... Thank you J_Bell for your support!
