I have inserted a CBE20 into the drive just to make upload/download quicker and easier. I will not be using a Profinet IO controller!. 2 questions 1.) how do I insert the CBE20 into the topology? 2.)I am getting alarms telling me there is no cyclic data exchange. How do I remove these as there is no Profinet IO controller available Thanks

Or you make automatic Commissioning again. Which version of SINAMICS and STARTER do you use? Occurs the fault messages only with pluged CBE20? Regards Christoph

I havent really removed it to check but based on the description of the alarms I am lead to believe they will go away if removed. So I have to re-commision the whole drive? I might just put up with the alarms. I am using Scout 4.1.1.6

Let me try to explain again the issue The customer has an S120 standalone drive. We fitted a CBE20 just to make the online functionality of starter faster there is no profinet master. Once fitted the drive throughs an alarm thats there is no profinet master. Where in the drive can I turn off this alarm? In every other version of Siemens drives I have dealt with there is usually a parameter that allows me to disable certain alarms/faults. This is what I am looking for Thanks

When the fault have the optional report type N then you can disable the fault via p2118/p2119. But i think you get the fault A08526 an you cant deactivate this "fault", its only a warning. I too have a customer with CBE20s inserted in Sinamics DCMs. The CBE20 is used for parameterization and commissioning only, there is no Profinet master on the system. They receive a “A08526 (F) COMM BOARD: No cyclic connection” message and cannot mask it off with P2118/P2119. Is there any way to disable this message or is there a parameter that stops the CBE20 looking for a master? Thank you

Drives_Coach Posts: 133 Rating: (13)	Tip: When using CU320 with S120 you have possibility of two communication interfaces IF1 and IF2. By default when you insert a CBE20 card it takes IF1 which you were probably using for your DP interface. Attachment STARTERhelp.pdf (574 Downloads)
