Hello everyone! Daniyar, 1966, industrial automation engineer, Kazakhstan. I wanted to discuss my projects with the forum participants. Their relevance, what mistakes, criticism, create a team (if there are those willing or a large company) and move on. What threats await us in the coming years. It is predicted that by 2040 a significant proportion of the world's population, potentially 40%, will face severe water scarcity. Climate change≫widespread and frequent droughts, floods. And new research (Dec 2024) shows a 36% increase in glacier loss between 2012 and 2023. How to feed millions in the face of severe water scarcity? How to at least partially reduce migration from third countries (main cause of poverty, hunger)? How much will food prices rise? How will this affect migration? The disadvantages of existing smart irrigation systems are high initial costs and technical complexity, e.g. calibration of expensive moisture sensors. As a partial and critical solution to the problem of global water security, I propose to discuss two projects. The first project is smart irrigation based on Siemens Logo 8 controller, actually ready, two variants. The second project Smart ditch irrigation systems. Smart management of irrigation canals, also based on SIEMENS LOGO 8. Mainideas:
First of all for developing countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America. Poverty, poverty≫migration!
First project - intelligent irrigation based on Siemens Logo 8 controller, actually ready for zones without internet, two variants. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAqMzcBH7MY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXFdn42KOCA&t=4s - the video is in Russian, I apologise. But I have corrected the subtitles. Attached two files with full description of SmIrr I & SmIrr II. It is necessary to finalise ... AttachmentSmIrr I.pdf (186 Downloads) |

The second project: intelligent irrigation systems for ditches. Can also be applied for - Intelligent Irrigation System Management. Irrigation management [attached] Ready in drawings and software. Irrigation of all sectors on schedule. Some non-standard ideas can be patented. For example: - to determine the water flow in the ditch, canal. Requires a mini PC, Siemens Logo 8, XKC-Y25 sensors, and a variable potentiometer. There are only experiments in the laboratory. BCUs, when water enters the ditch, autonomously control the irrigation of their sectors. In doing so, the BCU and the MLSMS soil moisture sensors send signals to the receiver of the Siemens Logo 8 controller. The controller, receiving this data: • Along with the data on water speed and level measurements, everything is sent to the mini PC to determine the water flow; • Manages central gateways. If there is the Internet, then the scenarios of expected precipitation work. Multi-level soil moisture sensors – layer-by-layer precision irrigation! Instead of a gate valve (a metal gate valve for opening and closing the locks), a rubber inflatable cylinder (plug). The cylinder is filled with air - shuts off the water in the pipe, the air is released - opens the pipe for the passage of water. Foothills, Almaty (photo from the plane). The contours of each sector are clearly visible. AttachmentIrrigation management eng.pdf (164 Downloads) |

The first project in two versions [all attached] SmIrrI Smart layer-by-layer irrigation with multilevel MLSMS sensors. I version https://1drv.ms/b/c/c0dc26eeef1238c5/EUqlLpAv8EVGqMsGSncXXt0BOvu0Gu6aIu6f-sP7ceXdfQ?e=ydiaTc SmIrr II Smart layer-by-layer irrigation with multilevel MLSMS sensors. II version https://1drv.ms/b/c/c0dc26eeef1238c5/EWTemoAlnP9BmAFyly1AMREBOfEaWm40_2NjQbJoeSam_w?e=A8Rq76 Second project -Irrigation management https://1drv.ms/b/c/c0dc26eeef1238c5/ESl4jdCq_NpLtc9pMHLox3ABINtdLb1bM7sV_ItJqzrPLw?e=ASoW0A - it is possible to automate irrigation in mountainous areas, foothills, taking into account the water discharge for each irrigation sector and for each section of the irrigation canal. Using the same algorithms and with the same equipment (slightly modified), it is possible to create a project for the management of irrigation canals. Also, to create a very affordable water flow measurement system based on the Siemens Logo8. AttachmentIrrigation management eng.zip (63 Downloads) |
