pravins777 Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	thank you Sir Wizard...... yes while compiling there is indication which shows used memory in bytes......... now while developing screens i have developed 60 screens till now. and just read in manual that we can create up 50 screens in basic panel kpt600....... but i am able to download a program with 60 screens.....so i am confused that shall i proceed with about 60 screens or use only 50 screens as per manual ....... i have attached a screenshot of that manual............. so what should i do now Sir Wizard.... When you have more screens, it might work. But there is also an oppurtunity that it will not work. Best regards, Wizard

pravins777 Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	sir wizard ......... my system is working fine... but again need ur help....... i am using TIA portal v11 in this i have used timers in the plc program and that timers setting value is given from hmi. the times used in plc program are in millisecond time..... so i multiply it in program and use it, in case of hours time .... 1) if there is any timer which takes time as in hours rather than milisecond. 2) or if there is any idea ....dat i can put time from hmi in such format dat..........2Hour 14 min in such case wat should i select in plc program

This question is worth its own thread. [smile] I assume you already know that the KTP600 handles TIME as if it is a DINT. You can use the scaling function that is built into the panel to scale the value for you without further action from the PLC. This however only makes sense when working with seconds (ex. 1.23s). You do not specify which PLC you are using. I can only assume you are using the S7-1200. The IEC type timers provided there are only in milliseconds increments. There is however nothing that stops you from creating your own timer. There are many posts that touches that subject. In simple terms for your purpose: * IEC timer times out every minute - triggering the minute counter. * Every minute the minute counter increases. After 60 minutes the hour counter is triggered to increase one increment. The minute counter is restarted at zero. Using the instructions of the above paragraph could help solve your second question. The panel give x2 values - one for hour and one for minutes. These two values are compared with your newly constructed timer. If both values are >= then the action can take place. Regardless.. The PLC will need to take your hour and minute setpoints and compute what is required from the timer you use. The KTP600 (Basic panel) can not process the hour and minute setpoints to give you a millisecond value. Helpful? w
