Updating PCS7 V9.0 to V9.1 and supported windows versions

Awaissattar313 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello, We want to update a PCS7 installation running on Windows 7Server 2016 OS servers and Windows 7 OS clients. When I saw the readme for 9.1 I noticed this: The following operating systems are supported in PCS 7 V9.1: •Windows10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 • Windows Server 2019 Standard Edition • Windows Server 2019 Datacenter Edition Does that mean that we will have to buy new operating systems? If yes - I see that there is an option just to upgrade(at least for Window 7 to Windows10 Enterprise LTSC 2019). Does this action mess up the PCS7 installation? And more importantly - is it possible to upgrade the windows on the servers? We have Dell servers which come with their own windows installation discs which do a clean install and wipe all the data. If there is an upgrade for the OS servers - will this mess up the SQL server and WinCC? Has anyone ran across this problem? Thank you! Awais Sattar

It is strongly recommended to perform a clean installation. Delete computer completely, then install Windows, in your case present Windows version and then Windows upgrade. After that install all Windows updates and afterwards install PCS 7. Copy your pcs 7 project and unarchive it. Note Please note the minimum computer requirements.
