Hi, If you take a look in the Readme of the UC05 (See attached print screen), you can check in section 5 which changes come along with the update collection. You have a redundant server pair so thats good, that will mean the operator will not loose the process when updating the software. Each client has to be updated as well, so that will be no problem if you do them once at a time. What you also need to watch for is to decide if you want to use the new functions for the basic and AP Library. You can take a look in the readme of those libraries where it is described what blocks have changed and which need a stop of the PLC. I don't know what version you are currently working on, but from UC04 to UC05 it means there is only a new update for the blocks, so no service pack. Also, if you have a CPU410-5H with firmware V8.2, you can use TCiR (Type Update in Run), so you can update blocks in run which normally would mean a stop with an older CPU.

Hi, Uninstallation of PCS7 components is not supported. That means, you can run into problems. Since an Update Collection is a bundle pack of software components, it would take a long time as well. But I never got a problem where I needed to go back to a previous Update Collection and I installed lots of them already. PS: You can install one or more software components by yourself like CFC, SFC, Basic Library, AP Library if you need only selected software components. Then the update could be easier, for example if you need only an update of the basic library, you only have to install it on the ES stations if you do the single update. If you do it with the UC05, you need to update all PCS7 stations within the multiproject. The single updates are available on the PCS7 download page. A small indicator-> (5) behind the software component means that it is included in the UC05. If you do the single update, please check if there are restrictions.. For example if you want to update the basic library, you need a specific version of the AP Library as well. Those restrictions are in the readme of the software component.
