For what you will use. Axis or Spindle. Normaly yes, but you must "scale it" with changs machine-datas. as example: encoder 2000 --> encoder 5000 M3 S1000 1000 rmp --> 400 rpm Go X1000 Axis move: 1000 mm --> 400 mm Tell us more. Give us the full siemens-Part-number. greetings Karl

almostafa Posts: 22 Rating: (1)	Dear expert my motion conrol unit is NCU 570. i can't get the part number at the moment. The new Encoder will used for an Axis .The function of the Encoder is to count length of sheet. I know that i have to change the paramter of the Encoder counts.one paramter only . or can you tell about any further paramters need to be changed with new encoder. best Regards mustafa
