Hey guys, we have a configuration as shown in “ figure_1” but for some reason(don’t ask why J) we want to temporary change the configuration to the “figure_2” and use a CPU 414H as a normal CPU (not a redundant CPU) and my question is, is this doable? Can we use a 414H CPU as a normal CPU? We haven’t bought the modules yet but I made a configuration like “figure_2” in “HW Config” in SIMATIC manager and I didn’t get any inconsistency error after hitting “save and compile” button. Hi Hardware configuration must be done s7400 station not in H station Hope this helps |

Dear Ariya Man, As you already come to know that you can use this CPU as a stand alone. No problem at all. But in this case remove One IM from the Remote I/O Rack. No need to put 2 IM if you are using stand alone system. Also no need to use active back connectors also if you are using just for training purposes. |
