Valve motor controlled by analog signal

Hi,

I need to control motor valve in PCS7 v8.1, so I supposed to use VlvMotL type in APL. But this motor valve is not controlled by open / close signals, it is controlled by setpoint (analog output). VlvMotL do not support analog control, so could You please suggest me what APL type/solution I supposed to use ? VlvAnL is also not good enough beacuse there is no STOP button, and there is no torque feedbacks support.

Hi,

Of course I can use PIDConL to control the valve, but please note that, there are still open/close control signals and normal and torque feedbacks. So If I use VlvMotL type and OpAnL or PIDConL to change position of the valve, the VlvMotL block gives error when it goes to e.g. 100% or 0% without OPEN/CLOSE command from VlvMotL faceplate. So using only PIDConL is not enough in my opinion.

Enclosed is a printout of the Diverter valve according to APL. This block features several positions with position feedback (8 max.).

 Is this what you mean?
