Wait for First Thread

Sanat21sp Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have 810D controller based machine with 2 axes and 1 chuck. I am getting "Wait for first thread" alarm when i start threading. Spindle is virtual axis and is controlled by PLC through profibus. But spindle has external encoder which is connected to NC and shows actual speed of spindle. I have checked wiring of encoder, Its ok. I tried to position spindle as described in prior threads. But its giving contour monitoring error contineously. Please help

Sanat21sp Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hello, I tried with incresing contour tolerence then i observed that spindle is not moving with spos or M19 command. How to run spindle in positioning mode? I have run spindle through PLC in MDA/Auto mode only with M03 or M04. How to enable spindle positioning.

I guess you will be reading the S word in the plc and commanding a spindle speed over profibus to your spindle drive. I don't see how you can close the position loop to position the spindle with this method. For your threading problem do you get a spindle referenced signal either on the reference axis screen or in the plc ?. The spindle will reference if it sees the encoder reference signal. Threading starts from the encoder reference mark or a programmed offset from it. Pee

The spindle is set up as a virtual spindle and possibly it will only let you produce a vurtual thread. Is the commanded spindle speed displayed in the spindle area of the display ?. This should confirm that the system recognises m3/m4 and it's not just a plc command. Is the encoder a 1:1 ratio with the chuck and MD31040 set to a 1. Pee

Sanat21sp Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hii I observed following things.. 1. I checked MD31040, Its set to 1. Also 31044 is set to 1. Encoder ration 1:1. 2. System shows actual RPM in master spindle box. 3. But it doesnt show rpm or sp override in service axis in service displays. though it shows actual degree position and setpoint position 4. Also in auto mode, when i run program it shows large following error in range of 50 degrees in service axis as compared to other machines.

This is Zip archive with NCK archive file, that should be extracted with help of any archivator before you can work with it. After NCK archive file extracted you can open it with help of Notepad or other similar programm to be able to read information from it. If you want to edit it, you need Sinucom ARC software.
