Why 808D not reading tool compensation?

AutoGen_7406247 Joined: 8/17/2023 Last visit: 4/30/2024 Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	Hi,i solved a problem and there is other quickly...i have a vertical centre siemens 808d...problem is i make a program,with 3d taster i make 0 reference of workpiece...then i make tool compensation on my workpiece and i save all on g54....the program work perfect until i change program,and i need to make new 0 reference workpiece with 3d taster...tool compensation lenght result then wrong..what is problem?if i change workpiece and make a new 0 workpiece, the tool compensation shouldn't change..instead if i made a new program with new 0 workpiece coordinate, i need to make a new tool compensation...as possible it?in this situation i can't work with 2 differnt G coordinate...for example wit g54 e g55 on 2 different vises because the tool compensation don't keep the same

AutoGen_7406247 Joined: 8/17/2023 Last visit: 4/30/2024 Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	yes,the problem is i have worked always on fanuc so the z workpiece offset was a little different...on siemens need to calibrate heigh of 3d taster at 6 o clock in the same way as a tool...then on workpiece offset you need to put Z0 and all work....if you don't want to occupy a station of tools for only 3d taster,you can use any other station but with a D different for 3d taster and work well the same...every tools have the possibility to have 9 D different...so you can use for the same station,D1 for example for the tool lenght ,andD2 for 3d taster
