X1 Axis Faults 840D

chall2010 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Vertical turning center with 840D control- 5 years old Having trouble with the X1 axis (running or standing) the issue is intermittently and may happen once per day or 5 times per day over 24 hours running. The axis is for a turret that is used to load and transfer the workpiece and also has live tooling(milling attachments) Program and part is repetitive and never changes We are getting the following alarms simultaneously: 300505 Axis X1drive 1 measuring circuit error of absolute track code 00000004H 26020 Axis X1 encoder 1 hardware fault 00000004H during encoder initialization 25201 Axis X1 drive fault 25100 Axis X1 measuring system switchover not possible Drive is also alarmed We have swapped drive/card unit and ribbon cable (no improvement) Any help would be appreciated

If you have it, remove that feedback & check it in motorencoder. Alarm 26020 says " Axis %1 encoder %2 hardware fault %3 during encoder initialization" (00000004H) ==> Under voltage Alarm 300505 says" Axis %1 drive %2 measuring circuit error of absolute track, code %3" 1]Check encoders, encoder lines and connectors between drive motor and 611D module. 2]Check for temporary interruptions (loose contact) caused, for example, by movements in trailing cable.If necessary, replace the motor cable. Ade12306 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi, It seems you have broken cable/encoder, it is your encoder thats at fault, your drives not recieving it's signal some how.... hope this helps.

vis_tal Posts: 7 Rating: (1)	Weather this axis is linear or rotary? For this axis which motor is used? Siemens or External Party Does this axis having external encoder? If it is having an external encoder, there might be a problem in external encoder. Regards, vis_tal
