Hi Khaled_Ezzat , Thank you for your reply. The picture you have sent is showing about the one H-System bundle,But My question is, If there is another H-System Bundle similar to the first onemeanshow to communicate between those H-Systems through profibus. |

Hello kumar; A Y-Link is an interface between a redundant Profibus master (on a S7-400H system) and single-line Profibus slaves. As such, you can setup a S7-300 or S7-200 CPU, for example, as a slave to a S7-400H using a Y-link, as well as any standard DP slave. However, in a S7-400H system, the S7-400 cannot be setup as a slave. This is specified in the S7-400H system manual, discussing the limitations of S7-400 CPUs when used in a redundant system: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1186523 The manual also contains a chapter on recommended networks forpairs ofS7-400H systems, over Industrial Ethernet or using Profibus-DP (with2 CP 443-5 Extended) Alternatively, you could examine the possibility of using a DP/DP coupler between 2 Y-Links (one on each S7-400H system). I have never done this myself, I have heard this possibility discussed by collegues, but maybe someone here on the forum could seeif it could be done. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
