Getting FC to show up in software

Regards. How are you guys getting the FC to show up in your software? I downloaded the zip file, extract it and opened up the file. Then I closed it, opened my program file. Then I went to global library and opened the signal folder. Afterwards, there's nothing in that folder for me to use. Am I doing something wrong? Splitted from How do you configure alarms in s7-1200 and ktp400?.
