ocuaxanh Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Dear All, I'd like toask how to create a loop in s7 1200 to make a comparison for my application Format of data : string , length 20chacracters Data1: receiving ID tag from RFID via RS232 Data 2: included 100 rows contain 100 ID tag used to compare with receiving data Now ,I want to write a loop for comparing bw receiving data and 100 ID tag were saved in DB Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance

joisramesh Posts: 40 Rating: (1)	Hi ocuaxanh, As far as I know there are no loops available in S71200 as of now. When V11 of Step-7 basic comes with SCL then you will be to use for loops. So if you can't wait then design a logic or repeat the compare logic with different variables for 30 times.

Thanks in advance Create an array to contain your 100 rows of data and preconfigure the data and set it to "retain" the data between power cycles. You can loop through the 100 rows using counter, increment, and jump/loop controls in S7-1200. All built into version 10.5 of the TIA portal software, so you can loop it now. You may want to monitor your maximum scan time to ensure your PLC scan time doesn't take took long if you scan through all 100 each time. Should be no problem, especially if you create the saved data pre-sorted and have some indexes to get you into the right group quickly, and save the values for the min / max, and maybe at each group of 10. Then you can create a few >= type comparision blocks to set the starting point for your loop to compare your saved data with the received data. Hope that makes sense and helps. Quite straight forward and documented in the TIA portal help files and in the FAQs on the Siemens support site.

I found the TIA Portal help files to work fairly well. I exceeded the watchdog timeout several times while developing the first loop, so be prepared for a PLC STOP during your loop implementation. I also posted a few forums items which include links. The forums allow you to search forum posts by specific users. May be helpful to check out that and the Pegaia tips for S7-1200.
