Hi, I'm too facing this problem. My WinCC is 7.4 SP1. Due to problem with old PC, we changed it with new Dell PC in following steps. - OS : Windows 10 64 bit. Updated OS. - Installed WinCC. - Transferred Liecenses & Project backup too. It was working ok for 1 week. Later we got this message "WinCC Explorer - Server not Available" We downloaded the new OS Updates, but result was same. Later, I developed one temporary VB application & tried to connect dummy database in SQL Server. But it could not happend. Kindly guide how to resolve. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi GNit, This is most likely due to the fact that WinCC V7.4 SP1 is not compatible with your operating system. Please have a look at the attached Excel to check this. In case it is supported, it could be that the databases of a previous project are still connected to the WINCC SQL instance, cannot be reconnected and therefore the opening fails. Therefore, connect to SQL Server Management Studio to the WINCC SQL instance and check if the WinCC databases/segments are stuck.
