Hello everyone I've recently learned that instead of having the CPU going into STOP when there's a hardware issue like an input module having a fault or losing connection to an ET200SP, the CPU can be kept running by using the OB82 or OB86 blocks. If I'm going to do that, I'd like to do it correctly so the error in question can be displayed on the touch panel and maybe indicated with something like a lamp outside of the control cabinet. I've found this pdf from siemens, but it's nearly a decade old and I can't find the FB/FCs it mentions like FC2086 in neither the instructions register nor the library register. How is writing those OBs correctly done in TIA 17 for an S7-1500? Attachment98210758_User_defined_diagnostics_DOKU_v20_en.pdf (140 Downloads) |

Thanks for your answer, but I'm unable to open both
In both cases it tells me I need "G110M, G120, G120C, G120D, G120P" when I try to open them in either TIA 17 (newest I have) or TIA 15.1 (same version as the documentation and file extension say is required). I can't even tell it to ignore that and discard all hardware that requires it or open it read-only. All I can do in that dialogue is select cancel. |

You need Startdrive installed also, since it's referring to G series drives. |
