Redundancy DO

Egbert Jan Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello, I'm fairly new to all the redundancy and I am wondering if it is possible to setup a 6ES7422-7BL00-0AB0 up as a redundant Digital Output. My current setup is as following: - Rack (400-2JA10) - 2 Power Supplies (407-0KA01) - 2 CPUs (417-4HL00) Same HW and FW versions) - 4 Interface cards including the fibre optic wires. - 2 ET200M connected to the CPU with a 197-1LB00 connected to it. This is connected to my ET200S module. - 1 Digital Output (422-7BL00) on one rack Currently my program is working propperly (redundant) on my ET200S, however I cannot figure out how to make my digital output go into redundancy mode. I searched around and noticed that I had to use this spesific output module and could not use a 422-1BL00. However in my hardware setup I cannot find any special redundancy setup in my DO module. So, both CPUs can access the IO modules in the ET200S. This is not the same with central IOs (e.g. the DO module in Rack 0). If CPU in Rack 0 fails, CPU in Rack 1 won't be able to write the outputs in this module. To come over this problem, 1- You can move these outputs to one of your ET200S stations. OR 2- Add another central digital output module in Rack 1. In this case you will have to connect your outputs through diodes (Check Pages 156 & 432 inS7-400H manual). Egbert Jan I searched around and noticed that I had to use this spesific output module and could not use a 422-1BL00. However in my hardware setup I cannot find any special redundancy setup in my DO module. Yes, this is right, 422-1BL00 is not listed in the module list supporting IO redundancy. At the end of your program just move the output words of the 1st module to the output words of the redundant module. How exactly would I do this? When I send an output I should do this to both adresses of my output with a move block? Currently I have a program running where I am moving my MB status to my outputs so this way I can send my status to multiple addresses. (QB 1 & QB 5). Program example: Call FC1 L MB0 T QB1 T QB5 Final edit: I finally figured it out, I missread the manual!

This will achive the DO redundancy but still there will still some diagnostic messages missed as internal and external faults Egbert Jan How exactly would I do this? This way will work but it will beso tricky while dignosing the error during commissioning phase. You can build your software as for QB1 only and at the software end line move it to the redundant address this will be easy
