you like starting with the difficult stuff, don't you? I suppose you mixed up negative and positive in your post. Any serious power supply does NOT have the negative grounded, if you want it you have to do it externally. for this exact reason a lot of power supplies do have one more negative terminal then the positives. Most people will tell you if you don't ground the negative terminal the world will end. I never do it. There are positive and negative sides on both sides of the argument.
