ActiveX control problem

Mats Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello, I'm trying to use a self-made ActiveX control. Setting a property on the controll in design mode works fine. But when I'm trying to change a property from a Script the hmirtm.exe will crash saying something about ModName: msvbvm60.dll . The control is made in VB 6.0, having Let and Get functions with Variant as datatype. Here is a code snippet from the script that always crash. The control resides in Screen_1 and is named pictures, I get the picControl object alright and it looks ok in the script debugger. The code will crash when trying to assign PathName a new value Dim objObj Set objObj = HmiRuntime.Screens("Screen_1") Dim picControl Set picControl= objObj.ScreenItems("pictures") picControl.PathName = "Blabla" Please help, is there any examples on ActiveX controls that works with scripts? /Mats

Mats Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi again, I was hoping that I didn't need a SDK since you can add activeX controls from "My controls" tab in Wincc flexible. I'm not sure what you need to create activeX controls that work correctly in wincc flexible. What SDK or OPP package is needed? Previous link was for pro-tools. Using activeX controls and not trying to update any properties in run-time works correctly. /Mats

Black Eagle Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi, I've the same problem with my application, to avoid it I'm using a Tag linked to the property to be changed (property / tag assignment of the ActiveX instance). I hope Siemens will fix this bug in the next future. Bye Max

I tried a lot of ActiveX Controls (standard ocx's form microsoft and I wrote some ocxs in VC++ and VB) but the result same. Controls work fine in the VC++ and VB but not in WinCC. ActiveX controlseems work in the Screen Editor. In the runtime, if I try to access to properties or methods, rumtime is crashing. What is the problem?

I'm trying to use a grid control to show a SQL database query, but i haven't got good results. If a try to execute anything in the control HMIRuntime crashes. I have tried: Dim grid grid=HmiRuntime.Screens(1).ScreenItems("GridFORM") grid.Connect() but it doesn't works... Any suggestions? Thanks a lot
