address length difference in HW config

timmermans Posts: 66 Rating: (0)	Dear All, I have configured the 1 COUNT 24V/100kHz (6ES7 138-4DA04-0AB0 M) with a IM151-3PN (6ES7 151-3AA23-0AB0) If I look at the length of the I/O this is: In 280-291 and Out 280-285 When I configure the same module with a IM151-8 PN/DP CPU (6ES7 151-8AB01-0AB0) the length is different. In 280-287 and Out 280-287 Can some one explain this? Thank you very much. Yours, J. Timmermans

In the PDF I can find the following: you must use interface modules that support more than 8 bytes interface, e.g. IM151-1 Standard: 6ES7151-1AA04-0AB0 IM151-1 High Feature: 6ES7151-1BA01-0AB0 I am using the IM151-8 PN/DP CPU, does this support more than 8 bytes? I wanted you to look under the specific question "Which extensions of the I/O user data interface do the new 1 Count Modules possess?" (I am not sure how to provide a link to that question directly. Maybe thislink works better. Basically it states that the newer IMs along with the newer FMs together support the extended (12byte) interface, while the older IMs and IM-CPUs only work with the8 byte interface. Now IM151-8 PN/DP is not mentioned explicitly, but I believe it still does not support the extended interface.
