AI Shield Wire Grounding

Hi,

I have a question about grounding shield wires when using an AI card (6ES7531-7KF00-0AB0) with an S7-1500. 

Please see the attachment for more details, but here are the questions:

Is there a best practice for shield wire grounds? You can watch video about grouding see Youtube link HERE

Can shield wire grounds be grounded together? -YES

Can ground connected to module M and M_ana connect to the same ground as shield wires? - YES, but I will better choose to split Ground and M to them each connectors (for me it seems more safer).

In my projects, M is electrically connected to the 0V (common) terminal of the (24V) DC supply for most devices.  Some devices require M to be 24V to function properly (look up sinking and sourcing).

In my projects, I connect analog cable shield leads to a GROUND terminal, sometimes 3 shields in a single terminal.

Generally I ground the shield in one place, and that's in the electrical enclosure the analog wires go into a PLC module.

Some manufacturers recommend bonding (grounding) both ends of shielded cables for their devices.  

If you are working with induction furnaces or around welding equipment or other high arc area, bonding both ends might help, but for sure, using proper EMC rated cable glands.
