ALARM log problem

PISCEAN 2010 Diamond Expert Joined: 4/23/2010 Last visit: 12/31/2023 Posts: 8092 Rating: (878)	Hello experts, We have got 840Di with HMI advance. Machine is running from last 2 years. Today it is noticed that in ALARM log, no alarm data is available. Machine trips on alarm. When operator resets, the alarm gets reset 7 machine starts, but that alarm entry is not getting registered in ALARM log. What could be the problem?

Regards, Ekalavya Hello Ekalavya, Yes, previously we used to log in alarm information & I remember I used to sort it by new->old & vice versa. But to my surprise, when I checked ALARM LOG, I don’t find any alarm history? Neither data or back up is uploaded or downloaded in recent days. The machine is absolutely working fine. Only I could observe is there is no any alarm history data & no alarm gets register in LOG. Regards,

But to my surprise, when I checked ALARM LOG, I don’t find any alarm history? Neither data or back up is uploaded or downloaded in recent days. The machine is absolutely working fine. Only I could observe is there is no any alarm history data & no alarm gets register in LOG. Regards, When you are in Diagnostic in alarm list you can in protocol sort them by data and save them you need to push save protocol. Then you can copy them to for example to usb drive simply copy DIAGNOSTIC/LOGFILES.DIR/ALARMLOG.COM. If it is empty maybe you forget to save them. If someone message is not in the alarmlog you should remember that here you can find only alarm so message and communication are not saved. With regards, makaveli

With regards, makaveli Hello, No I don’t want to save alarm history or download or copy the data on flash memory device. What I am talking about is, earlierwhenever machine triped on any alarm or message was displayed, it was automatically getting register in ALARM log & user could check it. Thus in alarm log, user could see the list of complete alarms with description, date & time. But now even if machine trips on any alarm, it is not getting registered or displayed in ALARM log. Why is it so?
