Alternate instruction for stopre

matpree27 Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Dear All, i am programming an induction hardening machine, i am doing some mathematical calculations like multiplication, division and some trignometric functions with R parameters. based on these calculations i have given command to Z and B axis. i have to move in various steps like g01 g90 z = R10 this R10 Value is updated in every step. i have to move Z axis without stopping at step change, so i have used G64 G602 in my program. when STOPRE is used in the program my calculations happen correctly and axis traverse step positions correctly but with minor stopping of axis. can anyone help me with alternate instruction to STOPRE.

sandeep reddy Posts: 92 Rating: (7)	hi, G64 is a compresser function which is used for running the machine with out stopping at the block ends, this happens only because it reads theupcoming program blocks well in advance. butSTOPRE is a function which stops thecontrol from reading the blocks ahead of this command, which makes your machine to stopfor a moment.

There is no alternative to STOPRE because it is designed to hold the program execution until information has been read from an external source. e.g. axis position, temperature, pressure etc. Normally the program will pre process many blocks ahead including calculations with information that is current. That information is then stored and will be out of date when you come to use it later in the program. I think you need to redesign but your requirement to move an axis different amounts without stopping doesn't make sense to me. A series of moves without stopping is one move. i.e. z2 z3 z4 z5 z6 is the same as a continous move of 20 incremental Do you need to change feedrate or direction or have I missed something obvious ? SteveA Posts: 297 Rating: (42)	You can define a GUD variable withan attribute called SYNRW that will stop preprocessing on a read or write access to that variable. You would need to define a GUD variable (possibly an array)for your calculations instead of using the R variables. Look in the Programming Manual Job Planning section 3.3 for full details.
