Analog input module: If we set TRUE for "has overflows", does it automatically detect 27648?

 I found the article in English! One thing though that is not clear, is that the siemens analog input module itself is limited to 27648. Anything above that is outside nominal and is over-range and overflow. With that in mind, do we still put 16bits as the number of inputs? When we put TRUE for has overflows, does it automatically detect to 27648?

You will have to use the OB "MC-Preservo" to simulate a telegram 81 for the technoloy object.
Today a application example was published in german (english will follow in a few weeks): https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/de/view/109741575. It includes a FB „SimpleEnc“  to generate the Telegram 81. You can open it in SCL, so you may use it without documentation in english.

Für the output to the drive, you can select an analogue output (with TIA Portal V14 or higher)

Hi jking3,

The analog input module can report values greater than 27,648 (= 0x6C00). However, the S7 analog value is designed so that the nominal range ends at 27,648. Please refer to "Representation of analog values".
