Analog Input verses Time Curve storage and signal processing....

Sharry Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi , I have a hydro pnuematic pressing application in which i am using S7-200 plc CUP 224 with EM 231 to connect to the load cell. Now my customer has the following requirement :- 1. The peak load at the begining of pressing has to detected. 2. The load during interference region has to be detected. 3. The bottoming load has to be detected. For this I need some feature which records the time/load curve. Is this possible in this configuration.? Else should I use a different EM module.? Regards..

It's pretty easy to use. Is it possible to store this data in plc memory instead of memory card, and use it in program through some special function block( with commands start logging, end logging and delete log). instead of using s7-200 explorer with a seperate PC. Briefly, can I make PLC work like low speed DSP... Thank You,

Sampling depens also on program lenght, I this case is program set to approx. 700ms. You can give exact commands to start/stop logging, and choose what parameters to store. You could try to make data logging on a HMI and display it later in a trend. For your hydro pressing application should be enough. Also instead of doing a fast data logging, you could save in PLC memory only maxim/minim for your pressure, temp, etc, so the operator can see if the process of pressing is done according to setup. For this type of data saving, with the possibility of later acces, you can try Recipe Wizard.
