Automating siemens rev23

kot9 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello people, I am new to the topic of automation and I could not find so much information. Moreover, I am not sure if it is the right forum to ask. Anyway, I would like to automate my temperature control device Siemens Rev23 and I would like to connect it to my Rapsbery PI, so that I can read/write data (e.g., control it via smartphone). The problem is that I do not know how to do that. I tried to google the topic, but could not find anything. I assume that it is easier to buy another temperature control with remote control support. But maybe it is possible to connect to PLC? About rev23: There is a control which is connected to integrated radio transmitter and receiver (which is switching unit with relay outputs). However, I do not recognize a Siemens equipment named Rev 23. Could you give us a part number or model description, so we can know what you ate working with. And you mention a Raspberry Pi in your project; what protocol do you plan on using between the 2 controllers? Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

I think it's impossible. This thermostat has no communication interfaces. The radio interface is used only for communication between the controller and the relay module, Siemens does not describe the protocol for this exchange.
