C script affects combobox

Hi everyone,

I use combobox to chance between 4 graphic picture pages. It was working properly until i wrote a C script with a triger (cyclic timer every 1 second). Now the combobox does not work. What was the reason?

Hey armagan

Both scripts are not related to eachother, right? It is quite possible that your new script is blocking other scripts to run (due to infinite loop ? combined with every second trigger).

Did you try to add a GSC Diagnostics window into your picture for diagnosing possible scripting errors/conflicts?

(in Graphics Designer: Object Palette -> Smart Objects -> Application Window -> Global Script -> GSC Diagnostics)

add some printf instructions like printf("line 1\r\n"); at specific locations in your c-script code. By doing this, you can follow your triggered script in GSC Diagnostics.

Well, where did you write this VBA code?
On the combo object "Events", under the "Miscellaneous" and on the "Selected text", we write the code here. (see attachment.)

in this way you don't need to check every time for the selected value, you just assign the combo value directly to the basepicture, suppose we have added the picture names as the entries for the combo box. (i.e. "SM1", "SM2", etc.)

if you don't want to upload your work, you can isolate that probelematic objects(s) in a new PDL and attach it...
