Call timer from DB? (URGENT!!)

If I call a timer that is in a DB (see attachment), and I call it, does it only give the timer value or also the time base?

So, in my case (the Word-document), it only shows the 3 seconds?

I ask this because I have to guard some data in WinCC. These data are spread across multiple DB's in STEP7, and I collect those data into a single DB from where I make the connection to WinCC.

So in fact, the datatype S5Time can be transfered to a place in the target-DB, and can be stored into an int for example?

Yep, that's what I was afraid of... I'm trying to work out a way to convert the BCD-code to get the time, but it's not easy. Could you help me with that? Or is there already a threat discussing this?

I've just been thinking: if I can find a way to see if the 3rd or 4rd bit is set, the I know what to do to get the right value out of the time (thanks to your link). I'll try to work out that in that way...

I think I've found a way to work it out, but I don't know how to integrate it. I have 20 timers to check, and I want to call a function which the timer as parameter.

Vb:

CALL FC123 with DB501.DBW5 as parameter(for example, where the DB501.DBW5 holds the S5Time)

Does anyone know how to do it? I don't have much experience with STEP7...
