Can a DM-F ProfiSafe digital module be used without a F-CPU?

Hi,

I've connected a direct-starter using Simocode Pro V PN, DM-F ProfiSafe digital module, current/voltage measuring module, earth module and operator panel. There is no PLC connected currently.

I don't have a fault on my Simocode as the "Device" LED is green. On the DM-F ProfiSafe digital module, "Ready" LED is green and the "Device" LED is green. However, the "Out" LED is off and the "SF" LED is red.

Can a DM-F ProfiSafe digital module be used without a F-CPU?

Why is the "Out" LED off? How do you set the safety related output to be active?

Why is the "SF"  LED red? Is this because I haven't connected the DM-F ProfiSafe digital module to an F-CPU?
