Can move the servo motor without using FB 283 while using Telegram 111?

This is the follow-up with the former questions. This is my personal training unit. I am not in the rush while I am working.

I spent some time again with this unit. I configured this unit by using both Telegram 111 for basic positioner SINO-POS (FB 283) and technology object programming. I have noticed that in FB283 there is a mode input has to be typed in (like Mode 1, Mode 2, Mode6 etc.).

My question is: Can I move the servo motor without using FB 283 while I am using Telegram 111. I can send the command and position data but I cannot find how to send the mode number like in FB283.

Hi,

the EPOS in the drive does not really work with the numbers for the different modes.

The different EPOS modes (MDI, jog, ...) are all selected / enabled by setting the correct control bit.

What the FB283 does is to convert the "mode" input number into the correct setting and resetting of the control bits. 

Just take a closer detailed look at the EPOS control words in the telegram and see the different bits in it. You will see the mode selection bitwise there. You can also have a look into the code of the SINA_POS block and see which bits are set for which mode.
