Can't write to DB that is located in EPROM (Urgent !!!!)

PB10 which moves some digital I/O data to data block DB100 . Then I modify OB1 to call PB10 block to write data in DB100 . I load new S5 Project via USB Prommer . Everythings seems ok , but there is a problem . whem I monitor DB100 Data all of data words has a value of zero (0) . Instead when I load DB100 in RAM program works correctly and datas successfully is writen to DB . My question is Can I write a data to DB that is located in EPROM ???

TIBI68 Gold Member Joined: 12/1/2009 Last visit: 10/27/2024 Posts: 672 Rating: (147)	Dear Khashayar , you need create your DB100 in the startup OB's (OB20, OB21, OB22) so that when the CPU starts it will create your DB100 in the RAM. Do not create the DB100 in the program file by yourself or at least do not burn the DB100 on the EPROM. Regards.

FB 204 -FB 204 E:XXXXST.S5D LAE=23 Netzwerk 1 Transfer DB to RAM FUP Ausgabe Name :DB-RAM transfer DB to RAM Bez :KEDB E/A/D/B/T/Z: D KM/KH/KY/KC/KF/KT/KZ/KG: KY :LW =KEDB ****************************** :SPA OB 181 DB already exist ? :SPP =M001 Then Blockend. : ****************************** :LW =KEDB loading DB number :T -FW 200 : :L MB 201 :SPA OB 255 transfer datablock to RAM M001 :BE

Using a 135U CPU928, the OB255 can be used to copy datablock from EPROM to RAM! I agree but it still can not be writen to in the eprom it has to be moved to the ram

Can you give a little description about a this program You have to insert this FB in Start-Up OB20, OB21, OB22 Bez :KEDB => Input Parameter, 2 bytes Type DB/DX / No. of DB/DX :LW =KEDB=> read input parameter :SPA OB 181=>call system function OB181DB already exist ? :SPP =M001=> Then Blockend. : :LW =KEDB=> read input parameter :T MW 200 => save to temporary flagword FW200 : :L MB 201 => mask number of DB (right byte) :SPA OB 255=>call system function OB255 transfer datablock to RAM M001 :BE See also S5 Manual for OB181 and OB255. This OB can be compared with some SFC / SFB in the Step7
