Choosing Hardware for a project

Estring Posts: 86 Rating: (3)	Hi to all, I facing a little problem that i couldnt find an answer. I have to choose a PLC for a project including about 5 PID loops, i was thinking about s7-1215C CPU but i cant find how many PID loops can he handle and working with a reasonable cycling time, or my sencond choise is a ET 200S IM 151-8 CPU PN/DP with PROFINET controller, but couldnt find any reference for PID loops also. Hello, For S7-1200,You can find similar discussions here: NUMBER OF PID BLOCKS IN S7-1200 PLC Max number of PID loops in S7-1214C are there limitations for PID blocks that can be used in S7 1200? The important point to add ,Proper selection of sampling rate of PID controllers can reduce the scan time of whole codes in CPU.For sluggish processes such as temperature you can increase the sampling rate up to one-tenth (0.1) of dominat time constant of process or you can try empirical values by try and error. Estring Posts: 86 Rating: (3)	Hi everybody, continue to my last question. this is my quite first time controling temperature with a heater, and i thought to do it with PWM control(PID) but i still didnt chose the HW and have doubts which the best for this application. Here are the 3 options i was thinking about: 1.S7-1200 but what i saw there is only 4 PWM configurable outputs on the CPU and my demand are at least 6, are there modules for PWM output or i just can use the regular DO output. 2/3.ET200S or S7-300 and same question as above are there modules for PWM outputs? and in general what would you suggest me to choose as my HW for such project considering the memory, there are more application like cooling and flow control. Estring Posts: 86 Rating: (3)	Hello again everybody, Another question about the SIEMENS PLC posabilities. In my project i must have at least 2 ports of modbus 485, and 2 TCP/IP modbus ports. The question is can i make both of the protocols on the same CPU and is it possible on ET200S that i mentioned before, or if i take the S7-1200 and addon the CB and the CM.
