Clients Freezing-No Error Messages

donny Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Greetings, I am working on a version 6.2 PCS7 system with a redundant server pair and four clients.Two and sometimes three of my four clients often freeze up with no error messages. I usually have to do a complete reboot of the pc to get it going again.The pc is usually operational and with runtime freezing only. I suspected that the network copuold possible hae viruses hence I installed McAfee on one server and a few clients. I did pick up some worms on the clients and the server that is still unprotected has a worm on it. I am concerned that the anti virus software could also be contributing to the client freezing hence my reluctance to install on the remaining server. Is there any dignostics that I could perform?Please assist with any suggestions. Thank you in advance.

zerepegro Posts: 183 Rating: (8)	Hello donny; I assume that you mean PCS7 V6.1 Certainly the antivirus could make the client freeze. I have had some experience with this antivirus with similar problems. I recommend you to follow exactly the configuration of the antivirus and the recommended version. In the folder C:\Program Files\Siemens\WinCC\diagnose you can check the logs of the produced problems in each PC.

ABN Posts: 212 Rating: (12)	Hi, Most important thing. Upgrade the system to PCS7 V6.1 SP3. Also, as you are saying you have 4 clients, ite recomanded to remove OS servers Grpahcis Runtime. If you have 4 or more than 4 clients, remove Server from Graphics Runtime.
