Hi,
now it is more clear what you want to do and is not really easy. You want access CANopen structure with CAN 2.0A definitions, I recommend this typical Wiki document CANopen where under Communication state is described difference with 11bit COB-ID in case of use under CANopen. Now I think about your previous project, simply there you need have defined system what was functional - COB-IDs or other system of implementation with other PLC. Isn't that clear there? On other side, here with ET200SP CM I can recommend only system manual of this CM where different approaches are described (CANopen Manager/Slave and also Transparent example cfg). Really, I think that in my shoes I'll try use that my USB-CAN adapter and check what is possible there on bus for first. It is really not easy step direct to PLC cfg, as you have now. That modules are connected via some CANopen coupler or what is there? In that case also documentation to this device must show OD and other addresses of course but how to access them via Transparent Link Layer isn't clear to me now exactly. Update: really your better description how you did that prj before (what exactly protocol and cfg used) can put better light to this. CAN type or CANopen cfg used there or other better description is required. Update2: I expect to use that CAN adapter/other suitable device with SW attached to bus to analyze bus traffic, for sure. It can be maybe then clear what your CM module does, if some comm messaging is there for sure and if all is ok. Without this is simply very hard work with CAN generally. |
