Yes, i already have the gsd file for my arduino card which will be the DP slave.

My current siemens installation is this the zip file attached :

The profibus port is on a6es7 677-1dd40-1aa0 module.

If i don't have to use dp_send/dp_rec then what block should do the job ?

you can connect your Arduino (Uno/Mega) with S7-300 via serial interface or Ethernet. You can use user communication. On S7 side you need communication processor CP 340/341 RS-232 if you want serial connection or CP343-1 if you want use Ethernet connection. Arduino has serial ports on board or use Ethernet shield in caso of Ethernet connection. You can use also suitable Serial to Ethernet adapter if you want use serial port on S7-300 Cps and Ethernet on Arduino side. There are so many possibilities. You need create communication programatically on both devices. Can you tell us what is reason use Arduino in this situation?

Update: simply I don't know nothing about Arduino's role as DP Slave, also about existing GSD Arduino file, so you need use only RS-232 serial user communication or Ethernet connection. Arduino in case of DP Slave simply must have RS-485 Profibus DP Shield, Arduino's existing ports are RS-232 so therefore I recommend now to you this solution. You can easy do that.

I was little bit searching about this solution, simply some users are working on some own Solutions, own PCBs and libraries. In my opinion you can have nice working my sugested solution via RS-232 or Ethernet if you really don't need Profibus DP solution (don't know reason). Also maybe now advantage over that DP solution can be that you can define (compared to that users DP Solutions) higher I/O buffer for data, I think 250 bytes without problems compared to that 4 bytes over DP solution now. Pretty nice difference. Also I have implemented similiar solution to my Home Flight Simulator via Arduino and serial interface, working quickly and without problem. Again in my opinion, with Profibus DP solution you need RS-485 interface board and also implemented DP library because Arduino simply know nothing about protocol. Lot of work, also big experience is needed. With that serial user communication you can implement what you want, but need program both sides of course. Your thoughts?

what about put own effort to contact developer of GSD? Simply look to that solution, is user solution not official. By the way, you have Arduino DP module?
