Communicating Two S7 414 2DP in same Rack

Hi,

I am having TwoS7 414 2DP in same Rack.

Both of these CPUs are assigned for two Differnet area, But now i have a requiremet,

some signals have to configred in Both PLC , So how can i make these Signal available for both CPUs,

Am having one CP 443-1 and one AI board in the same Rack.

Sorry sfa, but you don't require any cabling)

Use IPUT and IGET functions - then you would be able to communicate voa internal bus.

As for the signals - transfer them between CPUs. You can't achieve better tolerance, because if 1 of your CPU fails, another one would be put into STOP mode also (multicomputing feature).

When I enquired about this issue with one of my friend he mentioned about sharing DB or transferring DB form one CPU to another, Unfortunately he don’t know to implement that so that no need of further cabling & my DP/MPI port already used as DP.

Does anyone know About this?

Mislead you a bit.

There are 2 SFB (8 and 9) called USEND and URCV. You can use them (but of course you would need to create logical connection in NetPro).

No problem - of course it can be done via MPI ports.

Advantage i see here - you can use simple methods as Global data.

Is it really faster? Sounds new to me - because i thought internal bus is 10/100Mbits minimum, and that's much more than MPI.... Could you say what speed you got with MPI?
