Communication CIMOTION C240 with S7-1500

Dear all,

I've a project networking between C240 and S7-1500 and Wincc_advance by Ethernet.

Communication Wincc_advance with C240 and S7-1500 is ok .

but for exchanging data between C240 and 1500 i don't sure.

what is best solution for the communication?

I see it is possible s7 networking between C240 and 1500 but is it need use FB?

I need to a easy solution like i-device. it is very bad C240 have a Ethernet port but not supported PROFINET. i need to PROFINET on C240. i know C240 PN supported Profinet but I need to 4 axis Encoder and analog.

also SIMOTION variable's exported to Wincc are absolute only and no change to symbolic.

on Scout TIA variables are absolute only.

in addition how i can connect to SIMOTION with another HMI brand by Ethernet?Protocol(variabls are absolute)?

I'm right now developeing a project with something similar and what I suggest you is:

1) use the I-device as sharing information
2) use IM174 as analog interface for thirdy part axis
3) use C240-PN so you have all the Profinet interface you may require.
4) use OPC-UA for sharing tags with outside thirdy part interface.

But I've CIMOTION C240 only no C240 PN.

My CIMOTION have Industrial Ethernet and no supported PROFINET.

My project: S7-1500 is Master and Cimotion c240 is slave. thus is it need usd LCom Library or the Systemfunctions (xsend/xreceive, TCPsen/TCPreceive) for CIMOTION? or these Functions are need just for s7-1500(Master).

and another question:

With LCom Library you just have to define the component establishing the communication (PLC or Simotion): The library is definitely stable and I used since 10 years to share data between PLC and Simotion. 

related to your question:

1) I don't understand your point. I can point any tag in my project see the enclosed picture
2) same as 1)
3) OPC UA is the way to proceed. UaExpert it's a free software you can use to make some test by yourself for instance.
4) Instead of plugging card with the same cash you may swap from C240DP to C240PN from your Siemens supplier and you save lot of time making communication test

you can use LCOM or systemfunction is you choise.

LCOM is available for SIMOTION and S7-1500, the systemfunctions on S7-1500 have other names, refer the manual of S7-1500 or TIA information system.

CP343-1 not supported from simotion, FM351 is supported. but why?

for the HMI access.

Check the documentation of the other brand hmi how they work. Or use OPC to access the simotion data.

I meant by the first question was that, is it need write program Lcom for CIMOTION?(slave device) because S7-1500 is Master. data request  send by S7-1500 for CIMOTION.

in fact i'd like minimum code program on CIMOTION. because I've 4 axis are control by CIMOTON and Which move at the same time.already my project was done on FM357-2 now we want change to CIMOTION.

if i choice CIMOTION C240-PN then i'll need to FM351 for Encoder measure. but FM351 no config on Cimotion because it need to DB for save paramtrise.

for communiccation with CIMOTION by another HMI what choice protocol?(S7 Ethernet)

thus according to your expline no need to writing code such as FB_write or FB_read on CIMOTION when i use LCom Library.

I've 4 axis with analog input and control is same time on 4 axis. thus i need to a CIMOTION C240 and no C240-PN.

As you can follow up the link Christoph's suggestion the job you have to do is Greater then I-Device but it's simple enough.

If you still have to purchase the C240 you may also evaluate to plug an analogic input card for your axis interface. The milestone is to guarantee the isochronous interface (see the enclosed picture).

An additional option I've used to plug axis to an interface IM 155-6 PN ST equipped with I/O module to be very close to the hydraulic axis far from the electric cabinet.
