Communication problem T400 with RS232

Cefan Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Dear all, I can not establish connection between my PC and T400. I have error message "The communication link accesses the wrong module or the program is not compiled" (error 4305). This report shows me for all the possibilities to establish connection for example: Download (is open download window but after start immediately is open this error message), Test mode on/off, Module information and also when we tried open hardware configuration I had error message. I can compile my logic normally without error message. Module is already running with logic but I need change this logic, so this is not first download. I checked connection with my port COM1 it looks like it is OK. And also I have set communication interface DUST1 (COM1). I don't have original cable but I checked it many time according manuals for T400. Do you suspect what can be problem? Many thanks! Stefan

Did you try to set checkbox 'Initial load' when downloading?Checkbox "Initial load" while downloading a D7-SYS program Try to download by the following method: T400 problems with downloading the configured software (application software): If a new program cannot be downloaded into a T400 (downloading is interrupted with the message "CPU does not respond”): Set switch S1/7 on the T400 to ON (T400 then exclusively processes the download program); then re-start downloading; If loading is completed: Set S1/7 back to OFF.

Cefan ...and also when we tried open hardware configuration I had error message. Which one? Cefan I can compile my logic normally without error message. Module is already running with logic but I need change this logic, so this is not first download. In "initial load" is not marked the system compares theprojected namesof rack and CPU. If it is not identicalyou get the error. Follow chapter 5.4 in this manual.

Cefan Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	I did as you wrote, I marked the "Initial load" and switch S1/7 to ON. I had a message for the first two attempts "The module does not response in time" (Error mesage 4303) This mesage I understand, I do not have a connection but when I tried it a third time download was started. But during this proces (about 50%) I hed again mesage but new Error 4101. Then when I tried it again the following two messages are alternated and I have not started download any more.

If you get first message 4305 and second like inthispost andthis(with text "This plan does not belong to the ...Execute the desired function anyway?"), you should press 'Yes' in this case and then restart the T400.

Use the checkbox to deactivate/activateit) Yes, change of baud rate to 9600 helped. I have two channels. For one I did this without problems and I can establish connection now. For second one, two times near 99% download I losted connection, So I tried deactivate FIFO and than connection have worked properly too. Thank you very much guys, Thank also KSN.
