[snip]
Missing most of all after years of users requests : a good advanced search where you can choose for example in which parts of the forum one would like to search, search in topic titles only or also in topic content... in other words, "basic" search options that most forum engines have by default. Attachment upload button disappears if filename is too long.

thanks for the feedback CS Moderator but I have to disagree on your point of view about the search and I think many users will have the same opinion. Advanced searching should give options and results about what a member is looking for, narrowing the results by selecting sub-forums. It shouldn't be a function to create a sort of "smart" self-learning forum (sort of like google to keep track of what users are doing and searching). It's like going to the supermarket to buy some goods, you can look around and search what you're looking for yourself, you don't want a supermarket employee forcing you what you should buy? A new advanced Search function was promised since about 2 years now and it seems nothing really important has changed. I feel this is a major disappointment. Hopefully, members' comments will be heard and centralised for integration in the near future. |

the point is explained in the attached screenshot as an example, it's an advanced search that probably exists in most forums worldwide for more than a decade. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think this kind of search is not available in the new Industry Online Support |
