Configuration control AI change measuring type

Dear All,

I use a CPU 1515-2 PN

Is it possible to change the measuring type and range from an analog input Channel through the code?

For example, goes from Voltage 0..10V to Current 4..20mA.

I know about Configuration control that we can enable or disable IO cards but not change parameters

hi Kelu,

I don´t think so. 

But take a look in the manual of you AI-module. If parameters are changeable during "RUN" they are called dynamic.

In the manual for AI 8xU/I HS, I found this: The WRREC instruction is used to transfer the parameters to the module using data records 0 to 7.

Did you find a solution?

I am having the same problem, and can't figure out how to do it.

What i have tried, do not report errors but do not seam to work either.

That is exactly my setup. I am trying to change the the parameter of a couple of different IO cards on a distributed ET200 SP module, here among an AI  card.

would you share you code, even if it is not the exact same setup it probably will give me (and others) more information, since an example on this have not be provided by Siemens.

I made the sample application as per your requirement for 4 channel AI module of ET200SP.

Setup is S71516+ET200SP

Sample code size is more than 4 MB , provide your mail id so i can send you sample application.

Output parameter STATUS

Download the manual of ET200SP  for more details: A5E03576849-AF

The  Data Record length has to be checked according to the MLFB number  and FW version of modules. You can find the length of the module in the device manual in chapter A of each module.

For example:

• Analog input module AI 2xU/I 2-/4-wire HF (6ES7134-6HB00-0CA1)

1. Full length V1.0 = 2 Bytes + 2x 18 Bytes
2. Full length V2.0 = 2 Bytes + 2x 22 Bytes

• Analog Input Module AI 4xU/I 2-wire ST (6ES7134-6HD00-0BA1)

1. Full length = 2 Bytes + 4x 18 Bytes

• Analog input module AI 8xI 2-/4-wire BA (6ES7134-6GF00-0AA1)

1. Full length = 2 Bytes + 8x 18 Bytes

With the example in hand. And me moving from simulated HW (the Simulation unit) to real HW.

It work like a charm.
