hello I am trying to configure Cpu414-5HM06-0AB0 on step7 V5.6. All is well, the cpu is in the hardware catalog, for cons for the rack there are several choices, and I do not know which corespand mine (I can not find the reference on the hunt). After I chose at random, and at the moment of loading in the CPU I have the following message: failure of connection the target device does not answer. I do not know if it comes from the hardware configuration, or I miss something else to be able to communicate. if anyone can help me please ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hello zouz; First: What is the part number of your rack, and what is the part number you used in Hardware configuration? Next: - If you are using MPI or Profibus to connect to the CPU, you must have a MPI or Profibus cable adapter or a dedicated PC communication processor (CP 5711, for example); the default address of a CPU (from the factory) is 2 on both networks. - If you are using Ethernet connections, you can use a standard Ethernet card on your PC and you must set up the IP address of the CPU before you can connect. Both the CPU and PC IP addresses must be in the same range. There are 2 downloadable tools for the IP address of the CPU: New Primary Setup Tool (PST) version V4.2 HF1, 4.2 and 4.1 for setting addresses of SIMATIC NET Industrial Ethernet products available as download https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/19440762 PRONETA 2.5.0.27 Commissioning and Diagnostics Tool for PROFINET https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/67460624 To connect to the CPU for the first time, you must: - "Set the PG/PC interface" to the correct connection you want to make between the PC and the CPU. based on the selected connection and cable. - Use "Accessible Nodes" to locate the CPU on your connection. - Once the CPU is found, download the program (and the hardware configuration). You will find all the required information in this manual, simply search for the subjects that are noted in the points above;or you can search for documentation on the foruun using the Search box (at the right of this page).: SIMATIC Programming with STEP 7 https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109751825 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
