connect encoder to my standard S7-400 I/O module.?

Can i connect encoder 6FX2001-5FS12 with signal Module 6ES7338-4BC01-0AB0 with the help of CPU 314c-2DP..??? 6FX2001-5FS12ABSOLUTE VALUE ENCODER RESOLUTION 13 BIT WITH SSI, OPERAT. VOLT. 10-30 V SYNCHRONOUS FLANGE RADIAL FLANGE SOCKET ET200M type:6ES7338-4BC01-0AB0 SIMATIC S7-300, SIGNAL. MODULE FOR 3 SSI SENSORS FOR READ-IN OF POSITIONING VALUE WITH 2 FREEZE INPUTS , 1 X 20 PIN, SUPPORTS ISOCHRONE MODE Thanks Regarded Hi Experts, i have the same encoder. it is connected to EXM 438-1 (Extension module with FM 458-1 DP). My FM 458-1 has damaged. now can i connect this encoder to my standard S7-400 I/O module.?? or can i connect this with CPU 313C-2DP?? i want to run the machine without FM and EXM Please suggest Regards, M Mohsin

Mohsin_6334 Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	hi susheel, thank u for ur reply hardware configuration is not an issue...problem is i dnt know how to connect encoder on I/O module. attached is the snapshot of my FM. when i try to download the program it got stuck and gives error "Module is not responding" can u tell me if there is issue in FM or i am missing something? Susheel Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Dear Mohsin You earlier told thant you want to remove FM Module but screenshot suggest FM Module is still there in your hardware. if you have removed it physically then you need to delete from hardware configuration as well. There is an issue with FM Module. You can try download aftererasing all data on FM Module byclear memory. I hope just by erasing memory you will be able to download. Also problem seems to be due to work memory being full.
