Hello akcaravind; You are using a complete Y_link in your project (2 x IM 153-2 plus up to 4 Y-Couplers, mounted with active bus modules on a special S7-300 mouning rack, as you can see in this document?) https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/43688632) In that case, yes you need to create a unique and dedicated gsd file for your project, using Siemens GSD Tool software. See appendix B2 in this manual (and the screenshot below) on couplers and links https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/109805389 and here: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/26562190 You need to do this because the Y-Link is seen by the redundant CPUs as a single Profibus slave, limited to 244 Bytes OUT/244 Bytes IN, so you must combine the different profibus slaves connected thrugh the Y-Link in he unique gsd fie for this slave. Read through the manual to undertand the difference with operationg only with Y-couplers and a Y-Link, they have very different impacts on the Profibus bus speed. Hope this helps, |
