Connection of central plc with periphery units

Hello,

first I apologize for jumping in your thread but I have also a similar question. We would like to standardize a little moulding cells with robot, which is connected to moulding machine by euromap67 and a central plc. An idea is to have a central plc in this way:

Moulding machine <-> robot <-> central machine (plc) <-> periphery1, periphery2,....

The central machine will have also a HMI device which will display all diagnostics. The side with moulding machine, robot and plc is defined, but I need an information regarding connection of central plc with periphery units (modules). Every periphery unit will have its own plc 1200 but no hmi, because they will be small units. So my idea is that central plc would be the master and periphery units slave. I will define the communication handshake, but what would be the best way to communicate with (profinet,...?).... because there should be an option to add/remove periphery unit later and I don't want to change again hardware configuration of central plc. Are there any communication options which dont affect hardware configuration?

• which central PLC do you planned?
• what for a Version of TIA do you use or want to use? e.g. TIA Professional V14 SP1 
• is a connection via Profinet possible (hardware)
• how do you want to connect the molding machine, euromap67 is a IO-Kommunikation via hardware wiring
• it is necessary to use for every peripherie a S7-1200 or it is possible to use a ET200SP or a ET200SP PLC

thank you for your answer. Here are my answers:

• I planned this one CPU 1512SP-1 PN
• use TIA V14 SP1
• connection via profinet is preferable
• molding machine is connected via euromap67 with robot
• because are small units its preferable to use S7-1200, but if its better to use et200sp could be the option
