Copied User Defined block not working properly

I have copied a user defined block (FB xx) from the Master data library to the new AS and called the block in the CFC. After downloading the FB (Copied block) is not operating properly like the existing AS. (For Ex:instead of setting the output bit 0 , bit no 6 is set)

Have you tried to monitor in online the chain of bit 6 appearance? Maybe versions of FB are confused somehow? Like in old AS the newer versions are used and the Master Data Library contains old version by mistake.. Could you try to copy FB from Library to one old AS and redownload it? To guarantee that the same FB is working correctly in old AS.

To guarantee that the same FB is working correctly in old AS. Hi, Sorry,I am not able to understand what is the chain of Bit 6... The FB is called 40 times in each AS , totally around 100 times. I have coiped the FB from the AS and confirmed that the version is matching. Still it is not working properly.

I would say that your block has a generally problem and you are just "lucky" that it works in all other AS as per your expectation. Check your block for temporary variables you read but not write in this block. Regards.

Saravana kumar For Ex: instead of setting the output bit 0, bit no 6 is set So I'd go from the output bit 6 up to the inputs that are affected in the forming of the wrong output signals. It is possible to specify the FB's instance when you open FB and go online: How can you monitor a block with the desired call environment in STEP 7?

If yes, you can open it in Notepad then. So open Project_Lib\s7asrcom\00000001\ folder and look up in .SCL files for your FB's source. At least you can see a logic of FB in handy representation. And after all someone can recompile fixed source for you just for free (even me). And what about PLC Simulator? Yet another way to test your FB performance. Oh, and I've just thought of some possible reason of your troubles: your problematic FB is using another FBs/FCs which differs in old and new AS*. Is it possible in your case? And 2Experts: is it possible at all? Regards.
