CP443-1EX30 FW 3.2.9 and port 502

Seriously though, this really is not good enough. How can something this obvious get through test?

I have developed CP cards in the past and RTOS and drivers and I would be seriously embarrassed if I had produced a howler like this.

Is it really possible to downgrade the CP version??

Apparently, this is now fixed in new firmware V3.2.12 for 6GK7443-1EX30-0XE0, 6GK7443-1EX30-0XE1 and 6GK7443-1GX30-0XE0.

So they have fixed the bug they introduced whilst fixing other bugs.

I'm sure that this version will be bug free as system test and QA wouldn't let obvious bugs like not being able to use port 502 slip through the net, now would they?

6GK7 443-1-1EX30-0XE0 with firmware 3.2.12 still has a broken port 502.

This time not fully broken, just subtly broken. Read greater than 4 bytes of data (RECV pointer BYTE 5 or more) and all is well. Read less than or equal to 4 bytes (RECV pointer BYTE 4 or less) you get an 8304 error.
The same code works fine on port 501 for either case, so it is just port 502 again.
The 8304 is also misleading as that is "connection not established". NetPro shows that the connection is open and working, as does a wireshark trace. So why 8304?

Looks like another firmware bug.

So Siemens developers, over to you. Have another go at fixing it. Maybe it will be 3rd time lucky.
