Hi! You can do a PPI network with the TP270. You could connect the Network to the interface at the PLC 226 or at an EM277 expansion modul. This module provides an additional port for MPI communication or Profibus DP Slave. The bar code readers have sure an own protocol. If they using an ASCII protocoll you can use the internal ports at the PLC in free port mode. So you can build your own protocol. But I think, the bar code readers could not work in a network.
